Title: Family Time

Lot: Linwood- Marshall, Richard, Pearl, Paris, Dustin, Melanie

Marshall:Well hello! It is so nice to meet you. My name is Marshall Linwood. My family and I just recently moved here to Fortune Shores. My wife died, leaving me with the care of our four children. I couldn't stand living in the same house with all those memories, so I decided it was time to pack up and move away. Kind of like a fresh start. My brother Richard thought it was a good idea, so he came along with me and the children. And here we are! Let me tell you about myself, and about my family.

And here's my younger brother Richard. He's Fortune Shores' newest bachelor! Although he's not really looking for a wife right now. He's way too ambitious with his work to be distracted by love, or so he says.

We bought a nice piece of land when we moved here. With all of our promotions and extra income we have been able to build a nice little home. It feels small at times because of so many of us living here, but it is comfortable nevertheless.

Richard and I were very fortunate to be able to find jobs so quickly. I got a job with Fortune Laboratories as a Test Subject. It wasn't exactly my dream job, but because of my dedication and fast learning, I quickly gained several promotions. I am now a Project Leader, which is much better! Richard got a job at the local hospital as a Emergency Medical Technician. He too has moved up quickly and he is now a Resident. So we are bringing in a nice income, but the beginning days were rather rough.

Because Richard and I work so much, and the teenagers are away at school during the days, we have been forced to hire a nanny. Although we seem to have gotten the world's laziest nanny. She makes messes and spends the majority of her days in the bathroom using the potty and taking bubble baths. Which makes Melanie very unhappy since her favorite "toy" is the toilet.

But my kids are all happy and healthy. They get along so well together, it's almost surreal. Dustin and Melanie are the best of friends. They seem to be attached at the hip! Where one goes, the other is sure to follow.

And as for my oldest daughters, because they are so close in age they get along really well also. Although the only thing they seem to have in common is their schoolwork.

You see, Paris is very family-oriented. She is going to make a great mother one day. Without her I don't think we would have been able to make it! She cooks us all dinner, cleans up after us all, and takes care of all the household maintenance. She is constantly helping take care of the twins, which makes me very happy since most of my time is spent studying so I can get another promotion.

Pearl, on the other hand, isn't that interested in any of the domestic aspects of life. She is more interested in boys. Well, not boys...just one boy in particular. His name is Randy O'Malley and he lives across the street from us. They are going steady now, which makes me nervous. It's only natural for a father to worry about his little girl, I suppose.

Pearl loves to go out and have fun, and Randy is always taking her on dates. She always comes home from these dates with a dreamy look in her eyes. So she must be having a good time. And I'd say Randy is too, based on all of the presents he brings over for her. It started out with just being a bunch of roses...and now he's bringing big things! He bought her a big dance contraption, and came over in the middle of the night and just set it on our lawn! We were all super excited. Even the nanny had a great time spinning around in it!

And we had a couple of birthdays! The twins grew up into very cute kids. They are still very close, which warms my heart. Aren't they adorable?

Their different personalities are really starting to come out. Dustin seems to take after his old man. He loves things that challenge his mind. You can always catch him playing chess or reading a book.

And Melanie is destined to be a business woman! It seems she only ever wants to sell lemonade! So we made her a little lemonade stand, and she sits out there all day selling refreshing lemonade to the neighborhood.

And now that they are children, I am able to spend a lot more quality family time with them. We have a great time playing together, and dancing. I may be more of a knowledge-man than a family-man, but I wouldn't trade my kids for all the books in the world.

Hmmm, for some reason I thought I had been reading your stuff all along but then when I went back and looked there were no comments from me so I'm starting now. Sorry it took me so long.

I love their cottage! It looks so homey! You know Marshall is very lucky to have a daughter like Paris who is so interested in family. It could be so much worse!

Awww!!! Dustin and Melanie are such cuties!!
