Title: Change of Heart
Lot: O'Malley- Quincy, Andrea, Randy, Evan
Quincy: Well my friend, much has changed since the last time we met. We look like a brand new family now, not much like that family portrait. But that is what happens with the passage of time. People come and go, children are born and others leave. The first change of this time was with the birthday of my youngest grandson, Evan. He became a teenager and grew up quite well.

Now that Evan was a teenager, he and his brother Randy really started to become friends. Even though they have completely different interests and they don't have much in common, they are still the best of friends.

Both boys were now in highschool, so we decided that it was probably the best time to try to get them into private school. So we called up the Headmaster of Fortune Shores Academy and invited him over for dinner. We were all really nervous about this admissions interview, but in the end it turned out that we had nothing to fear. After a tour of our lovely home and a very delicious dinner, the Headmaster was more than happy to let Randy and Evan in to the Academy!

Randy and Evan were really enjoying their new school. Especially since their girlfriends, Pearl Linwood and Elizabeth Fairfax, were students there as well (see Familial Additions and Changing Times). The one thing the boys did not enjoy about their new school was all the extra homework that the Academy expects of its students. But the boys helped each other with the work, and before long both were getting straight As!

The boys weren't the only ones with a great achievement this week. I, Quincy O'Malley, am now a budding entrepreneur! I saved up enough money to buy my own business! It wasn't much when I first bought it. In fact it was just a small one room store with a counter and some shelves in it.

Andrea and I got right to work on fixing the place up. We weren't sure at first what type of business to create, but we finally decided on a flower shop. Even though Andrea was nearing the end of her pregnancy, she insisted on helping me with the opening of the store and the production of the flower bouquets. Andrea learned how to make some amazing flower arrangements, while I focused all my efforts on sales. The only problem we ran into was trying to figure out how to work the stupid cash register. But I finally got the hang of it.

Before long the store was making a huge profit! I grew accustomed to being a salesman, and before long I was dazzling the socks off of all my customers! Our neighbor, Ivy Linwood, bought almost every bouquet in the store when I told her how amazing the arrangements would look in her home. Although from what I hear, Ivy and her husband, Richard Linwood, and their new baby are still in the process of building their new home. They used to live with Richard's brother, Marshall, who just so happens to be the father of Randy's girlfriend, Pearl (see Familial Additions). Have I confused you yet?!

Now, like I said, Andrea was nearing the end of her pregnancy when we were opening the store. Well, the big day finally came but it wasn't as happy of a day as I thought it would have been. Andrea and I were starting to have problems in our marriage, you see. Even though I am an old man, I am still pretty...how shall I put this..."frisky" shall we say? Well, Andrea did not approve of all of my female friends and we started fighting quite frequently about everything in general. It was during one of these very heated arguments that Andrea started going into labor. I thought she was screaming at me, but it turned out that she was screaming because of the contractions.

When our daughter was finally born, our argument was temporarily forgotten. Instead, we both cried with joy as we oogled over our new little girl! We decided to name her Jade. She looks just like me! She has my skin tone, my red hair, and my green eyes! I never thought I would have another child, especially this late in life, but here I am with a new daughter. It just goes to show that anything is possible in life.

The familial bliss did not last long however. Andrea and I continued to fight over every little thing. She just could not understand why I needed to surround myself with females. So we started to grow farther and farther apart. It got to the point to where we couldn't even be in the same room together without fighting. It was about this time that I met Brandi LeTourneau. We instantly fell in love, and I knew that I no longer was in love with Andrea. It was sad really, especially since we just had a baby together.

We tried to make it work, for little Jade's sake. But things just weren't working. And no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get Brandi off my mind or out of my heart. Before long, Jade grew into a toddler. The world's cutest toddler, might I add! I loved her with all my heart, but I just couldn't make things work out with her mother.

So I decided to take things to the next level with my dear Brandi. Unfortunately, Andrea had a bad break at work (missed chance card!) and was sent home early. She walked right in on Brandi and I in the act of woohoo! It was a terrible sight, and I'm sure it crushed Andrea to see me with another woman. She flew off the handle and smacked me right there in front of Brandi.

Brandi left in a hurry, and I quickly got dressed. Andrea was quick to tell me that she wanted a divorce and that she would be moving out. Neither of those things bothered me much. In fact, I had been wanting a divorce for awhile as well. But what broke my heart was the fact that she insisted on taking Jade with her. She was the mother after all, but also she didn't want Jade to live here with me. Mostly because it's no secret that I don't have much time left on earth, and Andrea did not "Brandi the Floozy" to be left with the care of our precious daughter. So, my little Jade moved out with Andrea. It was a sad, sad day when that taxi pulled away. Of course, they moved into a house two houses down from me, so I'll still be seeing alot of my little girl...but still.

Being that my days are numbered here on earth, I decided to follow my heart and I quickly proposed to my dear Brandi. She gladly accepted the proposal and moved in right away so we could start planning our wedding.

The boys were really surprised at all of these changes. They had really gotten close to Andrea and Jade, and were definitely sad to see them go. They weren't too happy that I was getting married again, but I know they will get used to having Brandi as a grandmother! Andrea was even more shocked when she heard that we were married. She refused to let Jade be our flower girl at the wedding, in fact she didn't even allow Jade to come to the wedding at all.

And here is my lovely wife after she got a new hair-do. Isn't she beautiful?

Brandi is a really supportive wife. She truly understands my need for female companions. She even understands my love for my previous female companions. She respects the grave site of my beloved Gwen, and even tends to the upkeep of the plants and flowers that we planted around her grave. Something that Andrea never did. Andrea didn't ever like the fact that I had Gwen buried in the backyard much less water her flowers!

The next big change in our family was when Randy moved out and went off to college. He was really excited about going to university, especially since his girlfriend had been accepted and had moved there also (see Familial Additions). He was awarded a few scholarships and moved away to college to live with Pearl and her sister Paris.

The house seemed really empty with Jade and Randy gone. But it wasn't to stay that way for long. I was blown away when Brandi told me that she was pregnant! Here I was, an old man about to be a father yet again! I was ecstatic and secretly hoped for a son. Partly I guess, to fill the void that the death of my son, Randy and Evan's father, left in my heart and my life.

After a long wait, Brandi finally gave birth to our little babies! Yes, babies...plural! The first ever O'Malley twins were born! And even better, one of the twins was a boy! We named them Lilah and Linus O'Malley, and we were ecstatic to have them with us.

Lilah was the first born, and she has black hair and my green eyes. Linus was the second baby to be born and he also has black hair and green eyes. Black hair must run in Brandi's family somewhere, because all O'Malley's have red hair. But I'm sure these babies will be beautiful anyway!

Oh no, Andrea is such a great sim, it's a bummer she missed a chance card and was cheated on the same day. Congrats on all the babies! I really thought Quincy had channged his romancing way, but I guess not. Great Update!
Yea an update! Lots of drama. Jade is a cutie though. Quincy seems to be doing quite a lot of stuff for a man of his age. Usually by the time my sims are elders they are married and basically sit on their butts til they die. Not Quincy though!
Sorry for such a long comment but I love reading updates on your blog!
awww, i'm sorry i missed so many updates. i'm really bad at following blogs if the updates aren't annouced to the group.
anyway, great update. so sad about andrea and especially jade. brandi is hot with the new haircut though. *meow*!!
and the downloads are cool, i will definintely be checking them out.
Thanks for the comments everyone! I'm so sorry for my little absence, but I am definitely back! I'm working on the next update as we speak!
SGX: I've been checking your Sedona Falls blog for an update but haven't seen one in awhile! Do you have a different blog that I missed out on, or just haven't updated in awhile??
Queen: Yeah, Quincy is a stubborn old geezer. He refuses to die! Lol, his bar has been full for a day or two and yet he's still alive! Same with Peggy Fairfax...she just won't die either!
Tanu: I totally understand about the not checking blogs thing! These past few weeks I couldn't check anyone's blogs, so I got really behind on everyone's stories! But I'm slowly catching up now!
Thanks again for continuing to read my stories and commenting!!
Wow, a lot of things are hapening with the O'Malley family. I have to admit it is only since a week or so that I realised divorce and non-accidental deaths are not subject to a penalty in Prosperity. Well, Quincy knew that long before me. LOL!
Actually....
school just started and I haven't been able to do much of anything with football, band, NHS, and Acc. courses (High School) so I haven't really updated. I am definitaly updating this Sat. though!
Hi Mandie! I love your blog - your Sims and pictures are so beautiful. It's obvious you put a lot of work into your stories. Having the names next to the Sims in each pic is very handy! Makes it a lot easier to keep track of people. And wow, that Quincy - how many wives has he had now? LOL. Keep up the wonderful work!
Just wanted to let you know, I've updated my blog!
Awww, poor Andrea. I'm not sure about Quincy. I wonder if he'll cast aside Brandi just as fast? I always forget about Brandi and her tendency for twins until she pops them out. You have to watch out for her ;o)
Part of me feels bad for Quincy to lose his daughter, but he brought it on himslef.
