Marshall: Hello again! Marshall Linwood, Mad Scientist here! So good to see you again! What has happened to my family since we last talked? A ton! I'm sure you remember that Dustin and Melanie went off to college. They have recently just become juniors, and they seem to be having a wonderful time (see Urele Fruhm). Pearl and Paris have now graduated and they are living just down the street! I'm sure you'll be seeing them sometime soon. Do you also remember that Caryl was pregnant again? I know it's hard to keep up with her pregnancies, since she tends to be pregnant every other day! Once again with this pregnancy, she had an uncanny craving for cheesecake!

She went and got herself a makeover too! She cut her hair and even wears it straight now rather than curly! But that's besides the point! She was always so busy with the new twins, Nathaniel and Nicholas, that I thought she deserved to treat herself. She spends so much time with all the children and once in awhile I think she needs a break. But she assures me that there's nothing she'd rather do than spend time with her children! She wants 10 children, but she said she'd settle for 6 if she has to!

This pregnancy went by as quickly as the rest of them did, and before we knew it Caryl was screaming and hollering in the backyard. Everyone came running to watch the new baby being born.

I can't say that I was surprised when it turned out to be twins once again! You'll remember that Dustin and Melanie are twins, as are Aidan and Abigail, and Nathaniel and Nicholas. I guess I'm just a twin-making machine! This birth gave us two more little boys to add to the family. We were all kind of hoping for girls, since Caryl and I together already had 3 boys and 1 girl. But these boys were welcomed with open arms and lots of oooooo's and aaaaaaaaa's. You know, it's funny how poor Andrea Landgraab wants to have a boy more than anything (and kind of has to in order to save her marriage to the scumbag Malcolm Landgraab), but she can only have girls (see Malcolm Needs an Heir). And here we are with 5 boys! Kind of funny isn't it? Anyway, we named the firstborn Vance and the second one Vincent. They both have Caryl's black hair and my blue eyes, just like their 3 older brothers.

Nothing out of the ordinary happened during those days. Other than trying to juggle 2 children, 2 toddlers, and 2 babies. It was a lot of long days with even longer nights. Not much sleep for anyone adds up to a very cranky household! But the time flew by and before we knew it, we had 4 birthdays to celebrate! Nathaniel and Nicholas were about to transition into childhood, and Vance and Vincent were about to become toddlers! So, we decided to throw the ultimate birthday party for all the boys! We invited the whole family over to help us celebrate! My brother Richard, and his wife Ivy, and their three children Georgia, Mayer, and Julian all came over for the party.

I'm sure you've heard by now that the most astonishing thing happened to my brother Richard. He was abducted by aliens!! That's right, and he came back pregnant and gave birth to a little green baby a little while later (see Visit From Another World). He had a little boy (at least we think it's a boy) that they named Julian. Well, we got to see this new baby for the first time at the party. And Julian got to meet all of his cousins! He seems to be best friends with Vance and Vincent already!

Speaking of best friends, Aidan and Abigail had a great time with their cousin Mayer. They're all about the same age and they spent the whole time at the party playing and having fun together. It was so cute to see all the cousins together.

Also in attendance were my four children from my first marriage: Pearl, Paris, Dustin, and Melanie. It was the first time since they left for college that they really had time to visit with their new brothers and sister. Aidan had a wonderful time with his older brother and sisters. It was all he talked about for days...how he can't wait to go to college and join their fraternity. Oh brother!

I really couldn't get over how much Georgia and Mayer have grown! I remember the day when Georgia was born. Back then, Richard and Ivy were still living here and I had just married Caryl (see Familial Additions)! Pearl, Paris, Dustin, and Melanie were all still living at home. And then Richard and Ivy moved out into a house of their own, and I haven't gotten to spend as much time with my niece and nephew as I would like. Oh yes, and Dustin brought his new fiancee Claire Fairfax to the party as well. She's a beautiful girl...but I don't know why she wears that nightie out in public.

So the time for growing up finally came, and we all huddled into our kitchen to cheer on the first set of twins to grow up. Nathaniel and Nicholas did a great job of blowing out the candles...there was only a little drool on each cake!

They are pretty much identical twins! They have different personalities of course, but they look almost exactly alike. Nicholas has a little bit of a thinner face, where as Nathan's jaw is a little bigger. Other than that, they're identical!

And then it was time for the two newest babies to grow up! Once again we all huddled into the kitchen to cheer on Vance and Vincent for their first birthday!

And they look almost exactly like Nathan and Nick when they were toddlers! Not to mention the fact that they too look to be identical twins.

Vance Linwood

Zodiac: Scorpio
Vincent Linwood

Zodiac: Cancer
If we thought the house was busy before the boys grew up, boy were we wrong! Now we had four children and two toddlers! There was never a quiet moment! All the boys seemed to compete with each other over every little thing, and poor Abigail was trying her best not to get bullied around by her brothers! It seemed like one continuous headache!

And it didn't help that the older boys liked to tease the younger boys. Nicholas was especially brutal to his two younger brothers. He spent many a night alone in his bedroom because of his mean antics.

With so many children in our home, it wasn't a surprise when all the neighborhood kids started coming over in the afternoons and on weekends. I thought about starting to charge an hourly rate since my home was being used as a daycare. But as long as my kids were happy, I just let all their little friends come in and out.

After that big party we had, we decided not to do anything too big for Vance and Vincent's next birthday. So we just celebrated their birthdays together as a family. The boys grew up to look even more like their older brothers, Nathan and Nick.

With no more toddlers in the house, things seemed to be a little easier. But if Caryl had it her way, we'd be having four more children at least! But I've told her that right now, the house just isn't big enough for anymore children. It's crowded as it is with 6 kids and 2 adults running around.

We're lucky that for the most part, all 6 kids get along well together. Each set of twins seem to have a very close relationship. Aidan and Abigail are always playing pinball together. Vance and Vincent are always teaching each other new tricks like handstands and cartwheels. And Nathan and Nick are always jumping on random pieces of furniture.

And all the sets of twins seem to get along with the other sets as well. It's like one giant campfire out in the backyard when they all go outside. They sit around in a circle and talk and laugh and tell jokes until bed time. It's really quite a sight.

But it's not all fun and games with the kids. They don't always get along with each other, as I'm sure you've guessed. There have been many a hair-pulling (mainly poor Abigail) and fist-fight/wrestling match. But what do you expect with 5 boys and 1 girl? Can you believe that Caryl wants to have 4 more?!

But we soon had 2 less children. Aidan and Abigail had another birthday and became teenagers! Aidan has decided that the most important thing in the world is money! He swears he's going to be the richest man in Fortune Shores one day...even richer than Malcolm Landgraab and Edwin Reinhart put together! And how is he going to achieve this, you might ask? He wants to raise pets to get jobs, so he doesn't have to. Heh, that'll be the day.

And Abigail turned into a beautiful young woman. But she isn't as, how do I say this...mature as her brother. Not that raising pets to work for you is very mature. Abigail likes the more pleasureful aspects of life. Bubble baths, juggling, jumping on the couch with her younger brothers. You get the idea. But she does have one thing going for her that Aidan doesn't. A career. She is determined to be a Celebrity Chef. She can't wait for college so she can start working on her goal.

Even as teenagers, Aidan and Abigail have remained best friends. I guess there's a special bond that only twins share, that the rest of us can't fathom.

And then, it was time for one last birthday. Mine. There were so many candles on that darn cake that I thought the house would go up in flames...or my lungs would give out trying to blow them all out!

So, here I am. An old man with a wife that wants to have 4 more children, two daughters graduated from college and one of them about to get married, a son and a daughter finishing up college and one of them engaged, a son and a daughter about to go to college (and give their old man a heart attack), and four sons that never seem to settle down. What more could a man ask for?

Yay! More updates from Fortune Shores. That's a lot of children, holy cow... and so many twins! They're all adorable, though, especially Nathaniel and Nicholas. I'm a sucker for the tan skin/black hair/blue eyes combo. ;)
Woah! So many kids! I really don't know how you do it Mandie =). That is seriosuly full on. Man Marshall has really fathered a lot of kids... like half of Fortune Shores ;). Heh I like the outtake picture... I can so imagine that actually happening.
Oh yeah... and I forgot to say I fixed up my blogger profile so that it is actually showing and ppl can get to my website if they want.
Wow Mandie, those are a lot of children. Isn't Marshall a knowledge Sim? Wow, six kids, at the same time. I could never do that. Great update!
Got to run, but just wanted to say.
What are you thinking with all those kids! You have got your hands full! Imagine how many different lots you are gonna have to play in Fortune Shores! You are crazy. Or brave. Most likely crazy!
Yay update! Dear lord, 8 people in one house and the majority are twins! I can barely handle 6 people in one house. Good luck with that! :)
Thanks guys!! I know, it's so many kids, and I really didn't think I'd make it through the week! I thought about getting them all taken by the social worker...but then I thought of how it is Caryl's life dream to marry off 6 kids...and they're almost teens! So I made it! Thanks for the comments!!!
oh my gosh, i would go crazy in a house like that. congratulations! they are all so cute!
P.S. a tour of Westfield Academy is up.
Wow, what a busy family! I guess I missed when you first posted them. Both sets of boy twins sure do look a lot alike. Nice family. Will there be 4 more kids? Humm...
